Our Story
High School
How We Met
Senior year of high school, Adriana's friends set her up with a date to attend the winter formal at Ryan's school. Even though they went with different people, they met at the after party. Sparks flew and drama ensued, but they got each other's numbers and went on their first date at the King of Prussia mall the next week to see Wild followed by dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen. Adriana dragged Ryan to Starbucks after dinner where he had his first cup of coffee.
College
Attending Rival Schools
When they met, Adriana was already committed to play field hockey at Lafayette, and Ryan was committed to play baseball at Lehigh. Despite rigorous athletic and academic schedules with Ryan studying finance and Adriana studying neuroscience, these star-crossed lovers managed to make it work. It helped that their schools were only 20 minutes apart. They were a huge support for each other throughout undergrad.
NYC
After graduating from college, Adriana and Ryan got their first apartment together and moved to NYC. It ended up being a very eventful first year of living together with the COVID pandemic starting only a few months later. Ryan and Adriana agree that there is no one else they would have quarantined with.
Duke
In November 2020, Adriana and Ryan welcomed a new (and the most important) member into their small family: their dog Duke! Duke is the absolute joy and light of their lives. He has a starring role as the ring bearer in their wedding.

Travel Buddies
After graduating from college, Adriana and Ryan went on their first trip together to Bar Harbor, Maine. Although they had a miserable time on the whale watching tour (water was very rough and they didn't see any whales), they had so much fun hiking. This inspired them to always look for trips where they could be active and outside.
The Proposal
Adriana and Ryan went on a short hiking trip to Mount Rainier in Washington. They had gone to try on rings a few months before, so Adriana was pretty sure Ryan would pop the question on the trip. The first day, they went hiking on Mount Saint Helen. Adriana was pretty sure that this is when Ryan would ask, but there was a blizzard and they had to stop 2/3 of the way up. They returned to the base of the mountain engagementless.
